How I Got Here...

I started out with a career using my degree from the University of Florida -- a bachelor of design in interior design.  I loved the creativity of the profession and worked for a high end residential design firm for five years.  During that time, a friend and I started a wedding photography business.  This was something I loved.  I loved creating something that people cherished, I loved that the business was "ours" and something we could truly be proud of.  Together we grew a brand that was locally and regionally recognized in the wedding world.  After being in the industry for nearly a decade, my family time became more important than my career as a wedding photographer and I decided to switch gears.  I began a side hustle in sales with a beauty brand and fell in love with the mission of the company I was with: to empower others to take control of their own lives and achieve success. I also enjoy branding and marketing. So as of now, I spend my time in all of those areas - photography, branding, interior design and I mustn’t forget my favorite hobby, shopping.

I met Steve not too long after college. We got married and had two girls, Amelia and Juliet who are three years and nine months apart. We renovated a house on 2.6 acres half a mile from my parents and the house I lived in from the age of four. We are blessed to be so close to family and spend much of our time together! Steve and I also own and operate a business in town specializing in pest prevention. If you’re in need be sure to check out The Bug Assassin.

On October 24, 2017, Amelia was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Although it is 100% a condition that can be managed, it was a huge change for our family and we find ourselves learning more about the disease every single day. We are active in the Central Florida JDRF Chapter events and fundraise to help support research and hopefully the discovery of a cure for Amelia and other Type 1’s around the world. We are passionate about spreading awareness and acceptance about this lifelong and all-consuming condition.

My favorite things in life are making things aesthetically pleasing via all types of design, being with family, enjoying great food and sipping wine while enjoying lots of laughs. I enjoy being a part of our church family, boating with the fam, playing tennis from time to time, riding my Peloton and watching documentaries about space.
